FCCIB held its annual Gala Dinner under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee
FCCIB, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain held its annual Gala Dinner, on 8th of May at Sofitel Zallaq, under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.
This year, the theme of the Gala Dinner was "Night of Champions ", celebrating the Olympic Games that will be hosted by Paris, the city of lights starting on 26th of July 2024, the choice of the 8th of May being the arrival of the Olympic flame to Marseille from Athens to start its epic journey across France.
This event was also an occasion to celebrate another type of champions, the businesswomen and the businessmen and the entrepreneur champions, the raison d’être of FCCIB, who gathered at this occasion!
We were proud and honored that Night of Champions was attended by H.H. Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.
We had also the pleasure to count among our VIPs H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, H.E. Shaikh Abdulla Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Khaled Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Mr. Faris Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee, and H.E. Mr. Eric Giraud-Telme, Ambassador of France to Bahrain, Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand, FCCIB President and Mrs. Rim Jalali, FCCIB Executive Director along with more than 300 distinguished guests including Ambassadors, Members of FCCIB, Business Leaders, and Investors.
We were also thrilled to display a video message prepared specially for our event by H.E. Mr. Franck Riester, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness, Francophonie and French Nationals Abroad, who affirmed the significance of the economic relationship between France and Bahrain, emphasizing Bahrain's importance as an economic priority for France within the GCC region, and the importance of the role that FCCIB plays in developing these business relations.
A Business Awards ceremony sponsored by Palace Enterprises was part of the program. H.H. Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has made us the honor to come on stage to present awards to FCCIB’s Benefactor Members: Alba, BNP Paribas, and Fives as well as the long-time supporters of FCCIB’s Gala Dinner: BMMI, House of Travel and Gulf Air.
The guests enjoyed a stunning Opening show orchestrated by Mr. Marc Dossetto and performed by French dancer Mrs. Melissa Mekdad, as well as a breathtaking magical show by Mr. Stefan Leyshon, a world-famous magician from MagicProd, who came from France for a premiere and an exclusive performance in Bahrain at the occasion of FCCIB Gala Dinner, and who was a co-MC during the event, alongside with the famous Sara Abu Al Fateh.
Towards the end of the event, numerous lucky winners were called on stage to collect their prizes from the Luxury Raffle Draw, organized thanks to FCCIB's partners.
