Webinar on 'The current COVID-19 and the different solutions put in place by iGA Bahrain'

FCCIB organized a webinar on Tuesday 21 April 2020 and was honored to welcome Mr. Mohammed Ali AlQaed, Chief Executive at Bahrain Information and egovernment Authority (iGA), as guest speaker on the topic: 'The current COVID-19 and the different solutions put in place by iGA Bahrain'.
The event was opened by Mr. Jean Christophe Durand, Chairman of FCCIB, moderated by Mrs. Rim Jalali, Executive Director of FCCIB and attended by more than 30 members and guests.
Mr. AlQaed introduced the Information & eGovernment Authority activities and the role that iGA played in implementing remote working for all governmental entities & eLearning for public schools, in a very short period and the context that Bahrain is going through due to COVID-19 global pandemic.
iGA, together with ministries and authorities, is part of the National Taskforce, which has been created by the Bahraini Government, to implement strategies and limit both the spread of Covid-19 and its impact upon Bahrain's economy.
Mr. AlQaed highlighted the BeAware App, created in 7 days only by an internal team of dedicated IT developers & designers, aiming to track and identify cases to avoid further COVID-19 contaminations.
Mr. AlQaed’s intervention and his speech were followed by a dynamic Q&A session with the business community, members of FCCIB.
