Job opportunities for 10,000 on the way as Bahrainisation rates rise

MANAMA: Employment of Bahrainis in all segments of the labour market has increased at a faster pace under the National Employment Programme, a Labour and Social Development Ministry source said yesterday.The ministry’s efforts have contributed to raising Bahrainisation rates by encouraging private companies and institutions to hire locals, he said.

Employment rate has reached its highest level with nearly 50 to 60 citizens being recruited daily. All indicators show that more than 10,000 jobseekers will be employed by the year-end should employment effort continue at this pace, he told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.

Meanwhile, the ministry is gearing up to launch three career expos soon with a view to providing jobs for monthly salaries ranging between BD300 and more than BD1,000, said the source.

The ministry has plans to raise Bahrainisation in sectors like health, education, tourism, design and marketing while launching programmes for recruitment in construction, safety and security and IT sectors.
