Bahrain Businesswomen's Society President Ahlam Janahi meets The French Chamber of Commerce & Industry's President, Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand

Monday, 3rd May 2021: Bahrain Businesswomen's Society President Ahlam Janahi, accompanied with BBS Board members and representatives visited FCCIB

Bahrain Businesswomen's Society President Ahlam Janahi, accompanied with BBS Board members and representatives Ms. Hala Sulaiman, and Mrs. Shanthini Rahamathullah visited the French Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Bahrain, FCCIB, in their offices in Diplomatic Area. They were welcomed by Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand, President of FCCIB and Mrs. Rim Jalali, Executive Director. 

Mrs. Janahi offered a book gathering the 20 years of success for Bahrain Businesswomen's Society to Mr. Durand. She presented the members and the achievements that were carried out throughout the 20 years of activity of the Society. During the meeting, FCCIB and BBS also discussed the different opportunities of collaborations between the two entities and their respective members. In March 2019, FCCIB and BBS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the purpose of establishing a practical framework of cooperation between the two organizations in developing entrepreneurship in the various business sectors, enhancing mutual cooperation and business network expansion through organizing events of interest for the business community, facilitating the transfer of knowledge and boosting the flow of trade and commerce between the Kingdom of Bahrain and France. 

Bahrain Businesswomen's Society was founded by 16 Bahraini businesswomen. The Society was established in Bahrain in 2000 in the name of (Bahrain Businesswomen's Society.). The society works to set up seminars, conferences, and workshops for its members. In addition, the society also organizes various social activities. Members of the society participate in social, economic, and cultural events in the country. The society also promotes cooperation and coordination with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Lastly, the society helps to establish and coordinate relationships with similar societies in the GCC, Arab countries and the rest of the world.

The French Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Bahrain was founded in 2016. FCCIB is a member of the French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad Network (CCI France International), which is one of the largest Business Network in the world with a combined membership base of more than 38,000 companies. FCCIB mission is to enhance the Business and Economic ties between France & Bahrain. FCCIB gives all its members the possibility of growing their businesses through a number of events, forums and networking opportunities that the Chamber organizes all year long.  It also offers a range of services to French and Bahraini companies, therefore encouraging them to prospect and to set up businesses in Bahrain and France."
