GPIC wins Al Bilad Award for Corporate Social Responsibility
Manama, Sept. 25 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa patronized a ceremony organized by Dar Al Bilad for Journalism and Publishing and Distribution Company to announce the winning company of the Al Bilad Award for Corporate Social Responsibility 2022.
The deputy prime minister handed the shield to the award-winning company, the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC).
The Award Supreme Committee was able to monitor 75 companies that practice social responsibility in a regular manner, including 26 companies with international standards.
Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, ministers, elite officials, ambassadors, representatives of the legislative branch and business sector and civil society organizations were present.
The deputy prime minister affirmed that Bahrain is proudly achieving the Millennium Development Goals under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister
He stressed the government's keenness to link its program with the sustainable development goals, ensure the continuation of development and support all international efforts and initiatives that serve it.
The deputy prime minister expressed his appreciation to Al Bilad newspaper and the Supreme Committee for the award, for its initiative that reflects the prominent social role of the private sector in supporting development efforts in the Kingdom, and contribute to raising awareness of corporate social responsibility.
