FCCIB organized a site visit of Carrefour and the Bahrain Mall for its members.
Mr. Laurent Hausknecht, Regional Director of Gulf at Majid Al Futtaim Retail and Mr. Ghassan Al Jaroudi, Head of Commercial and Operations at Majid Al Futtaim Retail Bahrain welcomed the delegation attended by H.E. Jérôme Cauchard, Ambassador of France to Bahrain, Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand, President of FCCIB, Mrs. Rim Jalali, Executive Director of FCCIB and other members of FCCIB.
Mr. Munther Buhendi, Communications Manager at Carrefour Bahrain Head Office made a brief presentation of Carrefour in Bahrain as well as Carrefour’s initiatives in terms of Sustainability. Mr. Aurelien Chaussy, Managing Director of Comsip Al’Ali introduced the biggest private panel solar plant in Bahrain, on the roof of the Bahrain Mall. Bahrain Mall solar plant was designed, built, operated and maintained by Comsip Al A’Ali (Vinci Energies) for Yellow Door Energy the developer.
The presentations were followed by a tour through Carrefour store and Carrefour back areas, heading to the rooftop of The Bahrain Mall to admire the solar panel plant. The visit was concluded by a stop at Trax Bahrain, the world’s largest indoor e-karting.
