FCCIB held its Annual General Meeting on Sunday 29th September at Downtown Rotana. 


In his opening remarks, Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand, President of FCCIB, emphasized the Chamber's strong performance and resilience, noting that FCCIB has successfully recovered from the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and is returning to its pre-2020 revenue levels.


Mrs. Rim Jalali, FCCIB’s Executive Director, delivered the Activity Report, outlining the wide range of services provided by the Chamber, sharing the projects for the coming months, and expressing gratitude to FCCIB's longstanding partners, annual sponsors, and all members for their ongoing support.


Mr. Waleed Al Rayes, Director of FCCIB, presented the new Board of Directors for the term 2024 – 2027:

The AGM was followed by an insightful presentation on Bahrain’s evolving tax landscape delivered by Mr. Shashank Chandak, Associate Director – Tax at KPMG, key updates on Bahrain's evolving tax landscape, including the new Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax (DMTT) and potential corporate income tax (CIT) changes. The presentation led to an active Q&A session, allowing participants to explore the tax implications in greater detail. The evening concluded with a networking dinner, offering attendees to connect with each other.
