BD19m housing loans benefit 600 citizens

BAHRAIN allocated BD19 million as loans for housing projects this year, which have benefitted more than 600 citizens.

A total of BD9,950,250 was allocated for 378 construction loans, while BD7,522,000 was granted for purchase of 150 plots and another BD1,303,250. for renovation of 74 housing units.

Housing Minister Bassem Al Hamer yesterday said the services come in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s keenness to fast-track housing benefits for citizens.

“The volume of housing financing during the year 2020 amounted to almost BD19m, from which more than 600 citizens benefited,” said Mr Al Hamer.

“The ministry aims to develop financing and housing solutions that provide various options for citizens,” he said.

“Housing financing services are based on a simplified system, especially the easy payment process that takes into account the income of each individual.”
