Tickets go on sale for Bahrain International Airshow

TICKETS have gone on sale for the fastest growing air show in the Middle East next month.

The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2018 is being organised by the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry and Royal Bahraini Air Force in co-operation with Farnborough International.
The event is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad and under the close supervision of BIAS Supreme Organising Committee chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The public part of the show will take place at the Sakhir Air Base from November 14 to 17, extended for an additional day this year to allow more families the opportunity to enjoy the activities.

Eleven of the world’s top 15 aerospace companies are exhibiting at the show and more than 100 aircraft will be on flying or static display.

A daily flying display programme spread over five hours will include spectacular displays.

Pilots are set to showcase breath-stopping skills, testing the limits of some of the world’s legendary aircraft.

From military jets to big civilian airliners and historic classics, there is a plane to thrill everyone and free grandstand seating will ensure that visitors can have the best view.

When not watching the displays visitors can enjoy a range of zones in the public area which will feature a whole host of attractions and entertainment.

Innovative virtual reality technology and a state-of-the-art flight simulator will allow visitors to soar through the air with the full-body suspension flight simulator and guide through the sky using VR (Virtual Reality) goggles.

The Heritage Village is returning to the air show with a wealth of ‘Made in Bahrain’ arts and crafts that celebrate creativity and talent from around the island.

Additionally, some of Bahrain’s most popular acts including Mo Zowayed, Banah and DJ Layla are set to perform on stage at the heart of BIAS 2018.

Tickets are available at Batelco Retail Shops at Bahrain International Airport, Seef Mall (Muharraq), Seef Mall (Seef), Hamad Town, The Centre Mall, City Centre Bahrain, Saar Mall and Enma Mall. They can also be purchased online at bahraininternationalairshow.com.

Adult tickets to the public area are priced at BD10 per day with tickets for children, aged up to 16 years, priced at BD5.

A discount of five per cent is available on the purchase of 20 or more tickets, which can be of any type and for any of the four dates.
