Multiple currency prepaid card launched

Manama: Al Salam Bank-Bahrain is now offering Visa prepaid cards that are reloadable with any of the four available card currencies – Bahraini Dinar, US Dollar, Euro or British Pound.

Cardholders will be able to top up their prepaid card with flexibility and convenience at the bank’s branches as well as through its online channels.

The multiple currency prepaid card has been designed to meet customers’ unique requirements with added safety and security features when making their card transactions on Point of Sale machines, online shopping, pay bills online as well as to withdraw cash from ATMs.

Head of Retail Banking Mohammed Buhijji said, “The multiple currency prepaid cards are best suited for travellers and shoppers to take advantage of zero FX mark up when using in the country of the card currency. In addition it is more convenient way to spend and manage their cash in a secured manner.”

The reloadable cards are an extremely versatile payment tool that delivers an enhanced shopping experience for customers with the benefit of cashless transactions that are easy-to-use, transparent, safe and secure.

Customers will receive free SMS alerts and monthly electronic statements in addition to a secured online shopping feature through Verified by Visa.
