Gulf Industry Fair: Innovations showcased

MANAMA: New and innovative products and services that aim to address challenges of digital age industrial players are on show at the Gulf Industry Fair at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Oman-based Ray International Group is showcasing its innovative services and products at the fair.
The company specialises in providing services and solutions to customers in oil and gas, utilities and infrastructure in the GCC region.
A company spokesman said it is confident to execute any electrical, mechanical, civil, control and automation, facility management and laboratory services in a professional manner.
At the fair, the company is also introducing its principal, Globecore from Oldenburg, Germany a major leader in the manufacture of transformer oil purification systems including filtration and regeneration machines.
Ray products include transformers, MV/HV switchgears, RMU, packaged substation kiosk, MV/HV cable termination and joints, EHV cables, photovoltaic – solar, capacitor banks, UPS & DC system, mechanical including gas turbine parts and instrumentation products.
Services offered include long-term contracts for power generation, T&D, oil and gas sectors, live line works, asset integrity management, oil management services, special coating, condition monitoring, T&C, mechanical maintenance/ service contracts, control and automation services, drilling services, facility management services, training and repairs.
‘Made in Bahrain’ solar panels at GIF
Bahrain’s first solar panel manufacturer Solar One is promoting its ‘Made in Bahrain’ solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at the Gulf Industry Fair 2017.
Solar One’s manufacturing facility in Askar has the capacity to manufacture up to 60,000 panels per year which can generate 15 MW of power.
“We are using the fair to highlight Solar One’s capabilities as a leading provider of cost-effective solar energy solutions,” said managing director Rami Khalifeh.
Solar One’s panels can be custom built to industry size and specifications and are processed to comply with international standards.
The panels have been developed to work in extreme weather conditions, particularly sandstorms that may prevail in Middle Eastern and North African countries.
“We aim to meet prospective distributors, sellers and buyers and establish Bahrain’s capability of producing quality solar solutions,” said business development manager Faisal Khalifeh.
Naffco aims to be fire safety supplier of choice
UAE-based Naffco, a leading producer and supplier of property and life safety solutions, is the fire and safety sector sponsor at the Gulf Industry Fair.
Naffco, which recently set up its base in Bahrain, said the fair is a key platform to showcase its credentials as the supplier of choice for all types of safety and fire protection systems.
The company’s fire safety and solutions are compliant with the requirements of certifying bodies, local and national government standards and international safety organisations like the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
“Naffco’s vision is to become the world’s leading provider of innovative solutions in protecting life, environment and property,” said Naffco founder and chief executive Khalid Al Khatib.

Eamco showcases quality products
Eastern Asphalt and Mixed Concrete Company (Eamco), a Bahrain government-approved supplier of asphalt and readymix concrete, is promoting its quality products and superior customer service at the Gulf Industry Fair 2017.
The company was established in 1976 as a partnership between Abdul Aziz Mansoor Al A’Ali and Ahmed Mansoor Al A’Ali to manufacture asphalt, construct roads and supply readymix concrete to contractors in Bahrain.
All divisions are certified to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.
Eamco’s flagship division Eastern Asphalt has been involved in major road construction projects, and has contributed significantly to building the road network throughout Bahrain.
Other divisions include Eastern Ready Mix and Eastern Precast. Eastern Ready Mix produces high quality mixed concrete and has been a major contributor to infrastructural and housing projects in Bahrain.
Eastern Precast manufactures and installs hollow-core slabs and other precast concrete elements.

Baytik seeks investors for six plots
Baytik Industrial Oasis (BIO) is at the fair seeking investors for six properties within its state-of-the-art industrial park located at Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) in Bahrain’s Salman Industrial City.
The development comprises a total of 24 properties in two different configurations.
Tenants can take advantage of the advanced, pre-built manufacturing units designed for companies engaged in services and activities, high-tech manufacturing and assembling, light industry, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), industrial processing and more.
“BIO offers a one-stop solution that will get your unit up and running from the word go,” said a company spokesman.

HydraPro plans to expand
Second-time exhibitor at the Gulf Industry Fair, HydraPro sees a lot of potential in Bahrain and is looking forward to a very good 2017.
The company, which has offices in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Holland, is looking to expand in the region.
“We bring technology and solutions along with some expertise from Holland to Bahrain and serve the oil and gas and petrochemical companies,” said HydraPro’s general manager Alban Lawrence Quadros.
Showcased at GIF are overhead cranes from Abus GM from Germany which are made to the most stringent quality standards.
The electric wire rope hoists are produced using the most advanced technology available and continue to bear witness to their reliability, safety and durability year after year, from motor to rope, gearbox, brakes and electrical and electronic systems, he said.
“Abus electric wire rope hoists are the core element of our crane systems and are produced at production plants at Gummersbach, using the most advanced technology available,” he said.
The SWL range of Abus electric wire rope hoists extends from one tonne to 120 tonnes.
Customers can choose from a wide range of models depending on application and requirements – starting with the standard wire rope hoist in the lower SWL range up to special crab unit designs incorporating additional features at the higher SWL range.
However, all wire rope hoists have these characteristics in common – the highest levels of uptime availability and safety within materials handling operations, he added.
Al Haddad powers on with Metabo
Al Haddad Commercial Centre has returned to the Gulf Industry Fair for the third consecutive year, where it is emphasising that it is more than just a dealer for Mercedes-Benz in Bahrain.
Managing director Abdullah Al Haddad said many customers are not aware that it also represents Metabo, a German power tools manufacturer.
“It’s been five years now since we have been dealing with Metabo and we are very happy with the response. We have won customers both in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia,” said Mr Al Haddad.
Metabo power tools include grinders, table saws, drills, magnetic machines.
It also produces high power rechargeable LED floodlights. It developed the world’s first 1,700W compact angle grinder that sets new standards in productivity, service life and ergonomics with maximum power.
Al Haddad supplies these tools to Alba, Bapco, Gulf Equipment and Technology (GET) and Bahrain Fiberglass.
Last year’s edition of the show drew as many as 3,000 visitors and generated a wealth of business leads for exhibitors.
Hopes are high that the 2017 show will be an even bigger success as the Northern Gulf’s industrial sector continues its drive ahead.
Gulf Industry Fair 2017 will be open today from 9am to 7pm.
