Forum focus on key human resources strategies
HUMAN resources in today’s world came under the spotlight at the seventh annual Human Resources Management Conference.
Top executives and decision-makers attended the summit inaugurated by Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel Residence and Spa.
Taking part were global and regional companies and experts in human resources (HR) and competent organisations.
Dr Mirza spoke about the management of human resources in the modern era and discussed the programme put forward by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, under which state employees submitted more than 560 ideas.
Fifty of the ideas were selected out of which 12 made the final cut under the evaluation of 12 ministries.
“Such programmes help create an environment and a culture of creativity and innovation,” said Dr Mirza.
“This important event marks the seventh time that this conference was opened since its first meeting in April 2009 and we are all aware that we are living in a rejuvenated world, indeed a rapidly changing world.”
The event, which concluded yesterday is the region’s premier event for human resources and manpower, dedicated to capital management and training needs.
It attracts HR leaders and training professionals to meet in Bahrain providing insight into developments in the field and applying international best practices specially designed for the Middle East.
It also included three interactive workshops discussing important HR strategies.
