Fees alert for companies

MANAMA: Businessman Sameer Abdulla Nass has warned that private establishments will incur substantial losses and close down eventually should fees, that aren’t well thought out, continue to be levied on them.

“The charges imposed on companies in Bahrain today are only tranquilisers for an economic crisis that becomes aggravated day by day,” he said. “Collecting fees in advance to allow companies to carry on their business activities is a serious mistake for sound economic solutions and against the principle of advance fee collection.”

This will definitely lead to an increase in the cost of services and goods, he added, warning the coming period will witness higher rates of inflation should such practices continue, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
