Eighth Carrefour hypermarket in Bahrain on the way

Construction is underway on the eighth Carrefour hypermarket in Bahrain at Jawad Dome, Barbar. The store will open ahead of the back-to-school season, announced its Bahrain operator Majid Al Futtaim.

The 13th outlet of the chain in Bahrain will be free from single-use plastic bags at cash counters, it announced.

The branch will instead offer cassava-based alternatives which are bio-degradable in months, contain no petroleum element and are non-GMO certified, added a statement.
