Youth City 2023 celebrates International Youth Day

Manama, Aug. 15 (BNA): Youth City 2030, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with Tamkeen, celebrated International Youth Day.


Sarra Ishaq Murtadha Akbar, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Youth and Affairs, Firas Gharaibeh, Acting Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Ahmed Ben Lassoued, Director of UN Information Center in Manama (UNIC) were present. 


A variety of activities and events were held to celebrate International Youth Day and enhance awareness of youth's role in achieving sustainable development and youth empowerment


Gharaibeh affirmed Bahrain's commitment to prioritising the youth as part of its national action plan and to developing their skills through supporting their ideas and projects in various areas. He was delighted to participate in this celebration and review the different activities provided.


Assoued praised Youth City 2023 as a unique initiative delivered by Bahrain, which aims to empower youth and provide them with capacity building opportunities.
