WE'RE PREPARED! Progress in combatting Covid-19 pandemic highlighted
MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, has highlighted the vital importance of the continued development of Bahrain’s healthcare and epidemic infrastructure.
He was reviewing the progress made by Bahrain in combating the Covid-19 pandemic during a remote meeting with Supreme Council for Health (SCH) chairman and National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19) head Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh and members of the Board of Trustees of Primary Healthcare Centres.
The continued development of the healthcare and epidemic infrastructure will help ensure that Bahrain hedges the gains made in the medical sector, further improve its quality of service, and strengthen the sector’s emergency response preparedness, he said.
The Crown Prince Prime Minister expressed his pride in the national healthcare sector’s ability to cope with the demand of Covid-19 throughout the pandemic.
He commended the dedication of all who worked on providing around-the-clock services across all nine of the kingdom’s health centres, and highlighted the need to continue to support the SCH and the Health Ministry as it continues to implement forward-looking health initiatives.
HRH Prince Salman extended appreciation to citizens and residents for staying vigilant in following precautionary measures, getting vaccinated, and ensuring endurance as the world addresses unprecedented challenges.
The participants expressed their appreciation for the Crown Prince Prime Minister’s support for the enhancement of the health and well-being of all Bahrainis, by ensuring the provision of effective healthcare services.
