Virtual assistance service launched

The Foreign Ministry launched a virtual assistance service “Ask MOFA” which is a new channel to provide electronic services using artificial intelligence technology to communicate and interact around the clock throughout the week with citizens and residents to answer their questions and inquiries about services provided by the ministry and diplomatic missions abroad.

This e-service will provide immediate support through common inquiries and frequently asked questions, while also helping them to activate a live chat if needed.

It was launched through the ministry website “www.mofa.gov.bh”. This service will also be added to the ministry’s smartphone application, “Wejhati”, in the very near future.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani yesterday launched an electronic system called Tarasul to remotely manage and record all incoming and outgoing memos and attachments, regardless of where the employee is.

The e-system has been designed and implemented by technicians in the Information Systems Directorate at the ministry.
