Bahrain’s unique investment opportunities and its achievements under the Economic Recovery Plan were highlighted to global decision makers in various business sectors at a major international forum.

This came as Bahrain’s high-profile delegation took part in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting held in Davos from Monday to yesterday, under the theme “Co-operation in a Fragmented World”.

Led by Sustainable Development Minister Noor Al Khulaif, the high-level delegation included Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Osool chief executive and chairman of Batelco Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, EDB CEO Khalid Humaidan, Iain Lindsay OB OBE, adviser to the board at the EDB, Dr Samer Al Jishi, group president of BFG International, and Almoayyed International Group vice chairperson Hala Almoayyed.

Ms Al Khulaif took part in three plenary sessions on “Formulating the Future: How Women Are Shaping Sustainability Across Sectors”, “Between Liquidity and Fragility: Reforming in Mena” and accelerating clean energy.

She also took part in a plenary session on climate change in the Middle East, along with the Industry and Commerce Minister, and in another on ‘Sustainable and Digital FDI”, alongside EDB’s CEO.

The delegation also held strategic meetings and networking events on the sidelines of the forum with the aim of attracting more investments to the kingdom to contribute to further job creation and boosting the economy.
