Tourism Minister chairs BTEA board meeting
Manama, Apr. 17 (BNA): Tourism Minister and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) Chairperson Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi held BTEA Board meeting for Q1 of 2023.
The meeting highlighted topics of the developments of tourism in the Kingdom, and reviewed the implementation of the strategy of 2022-2026, and tourism projects that were undertaken during the Q1.
The board discussed the details of the most prominent touristic events that will be hosted at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) in Sakhir.
They reviewed the event's impact on raising hotel occupancy to 80%, especially in weekends.
Tourism minister expressed her satisfaction with the positive results and achievements witnessed by the tourism sector at the beginning of this year, which reflect the success of the qualitative initiatives and programs launched by BTEA.
