Tourism minister: BIAS's success contributes to tourism development

Manama, Oct. 31 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi stressed the importance of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) to be held at Sakhir Airbase on November 9-11 under the patronage of His Majesty Kinag Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

She noted that BIAS has become a prime destination for airlines, business owners related to aviation and aviation enthusiasts in the region and the world.

Al Sairafi confirmed the keenness of the ministry and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) to invest in BIAS's success as it contributes to developing tourism, increasing hotel and restaurant occupancy rates, flourishing the businesses of event organizers, tourism and travel agents, and the rest of the tourism sector.

The minister highlighted the number of events organized by the ministry and BETA within the framework of BIAS's program, ensuring that Bahraini small and medium businesses benefit from them.

BIAS creates promising opportunities in the field of tourism and hospitality, and attracts the largest international companies, prominent international personalities and officials in the field of aviation, she added.

It also supports one of the main objectives of the ministry of making Bahrain an attractive destination for exhibitions and business tourism, she said.
