Dusk beckons the start of time-honored traditions at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain as the holy month of Ramadan descends onto the island. The five-star luxury lifestyle destination, invites families, corporate groups, and couples alike to experience the month-long celebration like never before at the resort’s alfresco venues by the beach.
A family-style sharing menu will be set up with aromatic dishes encompassing flavors of traditional Arabian cuisine, along with modern fare from the Eastern Mediterranean, Asia, and Mexico regions. New this year is a selection of specialty rice dishes from different parts of the world including Dum Biryani from India, Paella from Spain, Tahig from Iran, and Koshari from Egypt. Ramadan desserts and gourmet sweet delicacies served at the end of each meal will also satisfy the most discerning palates. A traditional ghawa Arabic coffee station will be set at the entrance with the Ritz-Carlton’s Ladies and Gentlemen welcoming guests to the festivities of the night. Shisha-service will be available nightly from sunset to 2 a.m.

Nirvana
The very name conjures up images of maharajas who knew the secrets of spectacular dining. Nirvana brings royal flavors to The Ritz-Carlton for a dining adventure rarely enjoyed outside of India. Chef Mahipal Singh creates an exquisite selection of Indian recipes, a virtual firework display for the palate, including Masahari kebabs – made of minced meat, lamb or chicken, Shakahari kebabs for our vegetarian guests and Samudri Khazana, which includes a generous platter of succulent grilled seafood with local fish Hammour, shrimps and lobster.

The Ritz Gourmet Lounge
Inspired by the golden age of Cesar Ritz and Auguste Escoffier, The Ritz Gourmet Lounge embraces the heritage of these two pioneers in international hospitality with a dedicated menu influenced by some of Escoffier’s world classics served in a splendid royal ambience. Imported leaf teas from Sri Lanka, China and South America are on offer from the tisane trolley, freshly cut in front of the guest and served in silver pots. For coffee aficionados, a freshly roasted selection of various coffees from Arabica to Turkish is available daily in the gourmet lounge retail area, along with homemade breads, croissants, pates, tartines, richly decorated desserts, chocolates, ice cream, fine olive oils and caviar.

Thai Lounge
Thai provides light food snacks with a Pan-Asian and Thai influence as well as a large selection of mixed beverages made mainly of typical Thai fruits combined with herbal and spice infusions, designed and crafted by the lounge’s liquid chefs. The refreshing drinks’ menu is complemented by an extensive list of wines served by the glass. The lounge features live DJ entertainment throughout most evenings giving the opportunity to unwind while listening to chill-out tunes in a casual ambience - the perfect place to relish many evenings.
