MANAMA, Bahrain – December 1, 2020 – The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain transforms into a White Christmas themed wonderland this December where guests can truly enjoy the most wonderful time of the year through a series of seasonal events and activities that will inspire a meaningful journey for every family. This year's festive journey begins the moment you arrive at the gloriously decorated lobby and around our award-winning outlets where the splendor and allure of the season comes alive for all to experience.
Starting on December 10, there will be magic in every corner of the resort with the opening of our new pop up concept, the Winter Chalet, located on the beach. Whether a fun afternoon with family or a picture-perfect evening with friends, the Winter Chalet exudes the warm and cozy atmosphere of a traditional Alpine cottage in winter, complete with crackling fire, the decadent smell of roasted chestnuts, mouthwatering Raclette, sumptuous schnitzel, and a variety of fondues. A magical experience awaits, whisking guests on a winter holiday without leaving the city. Remember to wear your cold weather clothing! Blankets will be provided to keep you warm.
Throughout the season, guests will also enjoy a most splendid teatime at our signature Lobby Lounge and Ritz Gourmet Lounge available daily with a special selection of your favorite teas, festive treats and glasses of bubbly. For parents looking for a fun activity for their children, enroll them at the Gingerbread House Masterclass with Executive Pastry Chef, Jonathon Challenor, and let their little hands create a masterpiece that they can also bring home.
Need the perfect gift this season? Stop by the Ritz Gourmet Lounge for a Christmas feast to-go, Ritz-Carlton style. Celebrate at home and enjoy a selection of delectable desserts, Christmas Buche, Turkey feast to-go and festive hampers filled with heavenly delights such as minced pies, specialty cookies, chocolates and much more.
For private family or office gatherings of up to 30 persons, guests may book a holiday catering package in one of our signature restaurants including Primavera, Cantina Kahlo, Nirvana, and of course our new Winter Chalet.
On December 25, the resort’s Christmas Brunch, curated by Executive Chef Yann Bernard Lejard and his team of culinary masters, will delight with a lavish spread of live stations inspired by Christmas traditions around the world, a sumptuous seafood and prime rib corner and a delectable selection of heavenly desserts. The grand occasion elevates with live entertainment, festive activities, a special visit from Santa Claus and everything magical you envisioned the eve before.
Ringing in the New Year will be a magnificent affair in each of our award-winning outlets including Cantina Kahlo, Thai, La Plage, Plums, Primavera, and Nirvana, with live entertainment and sumptuous food and beverage offerings, starting 2021 in style. This year, in view of the current circumstances, the dinner will be accompanied by in-house artist, Cat Simoni and her band performing between La Plage and Thai Lounge, and complemented by the music of our resident DJ.
