The future post-covid

Manama: Bahrain is stepping up preparations to deal with the aftermath of Covid-19 and face future challenges.

The Premier stressed the importance of being prepared and exerting all efforts to maintain development momentum in economic, social, educational and health sectors.

l He commended sacrifices made by brave doctors and healthcare professionals working on the frontlines of the fight against Covid-19.

He also hailed nurses “who assume their noble duties and spare no effort to protect people’s health and Bahrain’s safety”.

The Premier paid tribute on International Nursing Day, marked today, commending the Health Minister, medical, nursing and administrative staff for their efforts.

  • The Cabinet Affairs Ministry has been restructured, setting up a new post of under-secretary based on recommendation of the Civil Service Council, headed by the Premier.
  • A digital system set up by the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry was given the go-ahead as part of efforts to fast-track procedures.

The e-system will enable the ministry courts to exchange correspondences with other government entities to ensure fast replies and step up adjudication of cases pending before various judicial departments.

  • The Cabinet approved Parliament’s proposal to establish centres to sell products created by productive families across the kingdom’s governorates. It also approved a proposal to address pollution in Tubli Bay and surrounding areas by monitoring the application of environmental standards and requirements.
