Tamkeen packages for taxi drivers, driving instructors and kindergarten teachers
The Cabinet has agreed to pay taxi drivers, driving instructors and kindergarten teachers under two packages shouldered by Tamkeen.
A total of 950 taxi drivers and 829 driving instructors will benefit from a maximum payment of BD300 for three months under the first package on the condition they are not insured or have a pension.
While 402 kindergarten teachers and 102 nursery teachers who are not insured under the Social Insurance Organisation will receive payments as part of the the second package.
The decision was announced during the Cabinet’s weekly session which was held remotely today.
The move follows orders by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and in line with directives by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier to have more beneficiaries from government packages.
