Sustainable Development Minister concludes official visit to Japan

Manama, May 10 (BNA): The Minister of Sustainable Development, Noor bint Ali Al-Khulaif met a number of Japanese Officials and representatives of Japanese enterprises as part of the Minster’s participation in the high-level Bahraini Business delegation headed by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.


Minister AlKhulaif affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthen relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan to further support achieving the goals of sustainable development.


During the visit, the Minister met the Japanese State Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Yana Kazuo, in the presence of the Kingdom’s ambassador to Japan, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Dosari. The two sides discussed the importance of continuing to strengthen the education system to support the achievement of the sustainable goals.


The Sustainable Development Minister also met the Deputy Director-General of Regional Revitalization Promotion Office at the Cabinet Office, Kyoko Nishi. The two sides discussed mechanisms to follow up on the implementation of the sustainable development goals and the importance of stakeholder participation.


The Minister of Sustainable Development concluded her official visit with a meeting with senior officials from the Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises in Japan.
