Survey highlights impact of Covid on businessmen

MANAMA: The economic impact of Covid-19 on businessmen in Bahrain is the focus of a survey launched by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in the third quarter of this year.

The survey aims to determine the ability of commercial enterprises to continue after the recent economic recession caused by the pandemic.

It also seeks to highlight the results of activating the partnership with the government along with the success of appeals with decision-makers as part of efforts to find innovative solutions to obstacles faced in the sector.

“Through this survey the chamber aims to identify the results of official decisions, financial packages and government support to all commercial, industrial and service sectors,” said the BCCI in a statement yesterday.

“It also aims to determine the extent of the impact of these decisions in providing the appropriate conditions allowing the private sector and its institutions to recover competitively while fulfilling their responsibilities and roles.

“Members are urged to take part in the survey due to its importance in highlighting the results to authorities concerned to achieve the aspirations of the private sector and enhance the business sector in Bahrain.”

The survey is available on bahrainchamber.bh as well as the BCCI social media platforms.
