StanChart names women executives for leadership roles

Standard Chartered Bahrain has announced the appointment of three senior prominent Bahraini women to leadership positions at the bank.

Deena Al Hilli has been appointed as head of legal for Bahrain and the Middle East, where she will be responsible for the legal coverage of the bank’s operations in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, and Lebanon.

Prior to her appointment, Ms Al Hilli held leadership positions at Citibank.

Standard Chartered also appointed Aseya Galadari as country head of audit for Bahrain.

Ms Galadari has held senior positions at Ernst & Young, the Central Bank of Bahrain, the International Monetary Fund and the Arab Monetary Fund among others.

The bank also appointed Sara Abdulrahman as head of supply chain management for its operations in Bahrain.

Ms Abdulrahman is responsible for the governance, assurance and compliance for the bank’s supply chain function.
