Sports and social clubs allowed to operate as commercial establishments
Bahrain's sports and social clubs can now operate as commercial establishments.
The Cabinet, chaired remotely by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has approved amendments to the 1989 Social, Cultural and Sports and Youth Clubs, Organisations and Societies Law.
The new amendments allow new and existing clubs to make the shift.
The concerned minister has been tasked to prepare executive by-laws determining the shape of the commercial establishment and the necessary it needs to follow.
