Revised health safety protocols

Revised health and safety Covid-19 protocols were announced last night for restaurants and cafes, swimming pools, recreation centres for children and spas.

The details were listed in the Official Gazette which stipulates requirements organisations ought to follow starting from the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

All of the above services will be limited to Covid-19 vaccinated or recovered individuals, as they continue to adhere to the current protocol related to social distancing, wearing a face mask, check body temperature of staff and visitors, and set up sanitiser stations.

Prior appointments will be needed for massage and spas that need to be well ventilated and have all sanitisation tools.

Children’s recreation facilities need to have 50 per cent capacity, and a supervisor assigned to check social distancing protocols and children above the age of six should wear a face mask at all times.

Restaurants and cafes indoor dining will be limited to 50pc of its capacity, while no buffet and self-service is allowed.

The regulation for swimming pools requires a 50pc capacity and live shows permitted with social distancing.
