RERA chief highlights the development of the real estate sector

Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) is keen on incorporating best international practices in its strategy to continue playing an active role in developing the properties sector, said Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

 

“The authority has issued edicts, requirements and regulatory procedures as stipulated in the Real Estate Sector Regulatory Law”, he said. 

 

He noted that necessary studies were conducted with stakeholders, before issuing executive regulations according to which the provisions of the law are implemented.

  . 

The regulatory authority held workshops, participated in local and international real estate exhibitions, and made great efforts to attract major international exhibitions to Bahrain.

 

It has also provided training courses and media campaigns in order to raise awareness of rights and duties in the real estate sector.

 

Shaikh Mohammed stressed the importance of the legal provisions which aim to promote the real estate sector and spread awareness among dealers in a way that ensures the development of this promising sector and achieve stability according to the highest levels of transparency.

 

He said that the authority would continue conducting studies and holding consultations in order to issue executive edicts that keep abreast of the requirements and changes in the real estate sector.
