Rents help for shopkeepers

MANAMA: Shop tenants have been given a rents relief lifeline.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday ordered suspension of the collection of rents from tenants and beneficiaries of shops and leased lands registered with the Supreme Council for Environment for three months.

The reprieve reflects the Premier’s care to take measures that serve and meet the demands of citizens and preserve the public interest of the country.

The Premier also ordered authorities concerned to take the necessary measures to implement plans for the development of Tubli Bay and the preservation of its natural environment to treat and limit the damage that affects wildlife and marine life and beautify its surrounding area.
