Registration opens for fellowship programme

Registration opened yesterday for an ambitious programme to develop the leadership skills of public sector employees.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) yesterday announced that applications for the ninth intake of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme will be accepted until October 3.

PMO’s director general Hamad Al Mahmeed highlighted that the programme reflects the far-reaching visions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He said it’s part of HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to ‘invest in Bahraini citizens, who are an integral part of the kingdom’s comprehensive development’.

The programme aims to prepare highly-qualified public sector leaders through their inclusion in the 12-month programme.

Mr Al Mahmeed highlighted that the fellowship is a competitive and challenging training exercise that ‘up-skills and re-skills’ young Bahrainis working in the public sector and provides them the opportunity to learn more about the kingdom’s decision-making process.
