QR code to be displayed on medicinal products packaging

Manama, Feb.6 (BNA): The Quick Response (QR) Code will soon replace the information leaflet available inside the medicine boxes, said The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA).

Clinicians or patients can scan the datamatrix code on the medicines packaging and access the electronic Product Information, it said in a statement today.

The eLeaflet, which will be introduced gradually this year, will facilitate access to updated medical information and ensure coordination with competent authorities in the GCC members authorities.
