People warned again to follow social distancing rules
People in Bahrain were again warned not to attend gatherings and maintain social distancing to stem the outbreak of Covid-19.
National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus monitoring committee head Lieutenant Colonel Dr Manaf Al Qahtani said they registered an increase in the number of active cases.
“The recent increase in the number of active cases is due to non- compliance and recklessness that resulted in this situation,” said Dr Al Qahtani.
“We conducted over 60,000 tests for those who came in close local contacts.”
He further stated that elderly were at high risk due to their weak immunity.
“Please reconsider your decisions on gatherings,” he stated.
