New vehicle inspection centre opens

The new facility, the seventh to date to open across Bahrain, will be able to deal with average 150 cars daily.

The opening follows directives of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to grant technical inspection licences to the private sector.

The new centre was given the go-ahead after meeting all technical requirements, forming inspection technicians and employees through workshops under the supervision of the traffic directorate.

The opening of car inspection centres across Bahrain is part of a plan to turn the General Directorate of Traffic into a regulator of these centres to ensure speedy and quality services.
