New safety protocol to fight virus

AS per the latest Covid-19 precautionary protocol, active cases must quarantine at home as soon as their PCR test shows a positive result. This will be registered on the BeAware app and they do not have to report to any treatment centre.

Those with acute symptoms, risk factors and/or chronic diseases are encouraged to visit a treatment centre. Those aged above 50 will be contacted by the ministry for appointments.

Those coming in close contact with a positive case must also quarantine at home as soon as informed and must activate the quarantine feature on the BeAware app. In this category, those aged above 50 and those who have symptoms will be tested on the first and 10th day of their quarantine.

Asymptomatic contacts aged 49 and below will be tested on the 10th day of their quarantine unless symptoms develop. They also have the option of getting tested in a private clinic.
