New mobile testing units
MANAMA: A number of public transport buses have been converted into mobile Covid-19 testing units.
Transportat-ion and Telecommunicat-ions Minister Kamal Ahmed said last night that in co-operation with the Health Ministry they have converted a number of public transport buses to mobile units to conduct random tests across Bahrain.
He said they launched the special buses yesterday with a medical crew onboard with all testing equipment to collect random samples from people in Manama.
He said the dedicated unit will be working daily in Manama at 3pm and Exhibition Avenue at 6pm. Meanwhile, Bahrain recorded 301 new cases yesterday, the highest in a single day.
