New guidelines for sports fans

The Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry has issued a guidebook to regulate entry to stadiums and gyms.

Access to stadiums and halls will be restricted to vaccinated people and those who have recovered from Covid-19, in addition to children below the age of 18.

Children below the age of 12 should be in the company of adults who completed their Covid-19 vaccination and those who recovered from the virus.

The application “BeAware” or other approved applications will be used as evidence, in addition to the mandatory wearing of a face mask while at the sports facility.

Fans will be allowed to attend at a rate of 50 per cent of the capacity of indoor sports facilities.

Two chairs must be left vacant between each group to ensure the required social distance.

Organisers have to ensure that fans adhere to the requirements, check the temperature before entering the facility and place ground signs to ensure that the spacing at entrances and exits is maintained.
