'New $1 billion Bahrain International Airport ready for opening since March'
The new $1 billion Bahrain International Airport has been ready for opening since March as originally scheduled, said Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed in a written response to Shura Council human rights committee chairman Ahmed Al Haddad. However, he added that the opening had to be pushed back as a result of the global Covid-19 pandemic .
