Networking Breakfast – Plant Visit of Imerys Fused Minerals
Sunday 19th March, FCCIB members were invited to a Networking Breakfast at Imerys’ Plant, in Hidd.
Imerys is the worldwide leader in specialty minerals with a total sales of 4.1 Bn Eur in 2016 and the company has established a joint venture with Al Zayani Investment in 2012 in Bahrain. This operation is the first industrial footprint of Imerys group in the GCC. Imerys Al Zayani Fused Minerals produces about 40,000t a year of high quality fused alumina for refractory and abrasive applications. It benefits from a unique fusion technology and minerals processing know-how and Imerys Al Zayani Fused Minerals is the only one of its kind in all Middle East.
The breakfast was followed by a presentation of Imerys, by Mr. Aurelien Cadars, General Manager of Imerys Fused Minerals in Bahrain and by a guided visit of the plant.
