Need to support economic sector stressed
Manama, Nov. 21 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal stressed the importance of supporting the economic sector and commercial functions. She also emphasized the need to boost cooperation with the private sector institutions to achieve more growth and prosperity within the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
She was speaking as she received in her office recently Board Chairman of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) Murad Ali Murad and Chief Executive of BBK Group Dr. Abdulrahman Saif, in the presence of the Representatives Council Economic Advisor Dr. Abdullah Al Sadiq.
The Representatives Council Speaker pointed out the great importance accorded by the Representatives Council to supporting the economic sector through developed legislation and laws, in cooperation with the esteemed government. She said the aim is to attract more investments, implement development projects and open broader prospects for quality job opportunities for the Bahraini youth so as to achieve the kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030.
The Representatives Council Speaker stressed continuous cooperation and partnership with the economic and business community, lauding the role of the banking sector in the kingdom’s development march which earned Bahrain an advanced status in this sector.
