Mumtalakat receives $4 billion orders for $500 million sukuk
MANAMA: Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat Holding Company has received $4 billion worth of orders for $500 million sukuk, its chief executive Khalid Al Rumaihi said.
The company did not expect such demand on its sukuk, Mr Al Rumaihi said, adding that the sukuk’s yield stood at 4.25 per cent.
Mumtalakat holds government stakes in companies including Batelco and National Bank of Bahrain, the top official noted.
Mr Al Rumaihi revealed that his company is seeking to diversify its investments in various sectors.
