MoU signed to boost smart city innovations

A MEMORANDUM of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Artificial Intelligence Society (AI) and Bahrain Smart City Society to co-operate in the field of future science and accelerate digital transformation in Bahrain through AI and smart city tech solutions.

The two sides recently conducted their first joint virtual conference with three white papers related to AI and smart city innovations.

“We both have identical aims of developing digital transformation in the kingdom to help both private and public sectors understand how branches of AI can assist building and contribute to smarter infrastructure and smarter services,” said AI society president Dr Jasim Haji.

“This MoU will contribute and support the development of smart cities best practices and provide business development opportunities for Bahrain society in general and SMEs in particular,” said Bahrain Smart City Society president Abdulrahman Alsindi.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Bahrain Smart City Society vice-president Hussain Naeemi.
