Labour fees to be slashed by 50 per cent for three months

Labour fees will be slashed by 50 per cent on all establishments for three months from July 1.

The Cabinet, in its weekly session chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today, ordered the move for all fees under the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, while businesses in the most affected sectors would be exempt from all fees in a list that would be later determined.

Meanwhile, The Premier has also instructed the Labour and Social Development Ministry in co-ordination with other relevant authorities to provide support to Bahrainis working abroad and have lost their jobs or are unable to return.
