Labour and Social Development Ministry to implement remote work from Sunday

Manama, Feb.6 (BNA): Labour, Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan said that 70 percent of the staff would be allowed to work remotely, from tomorrow, Sunday.

 

He said that the procedure will apply to the staff working, whether at the ministry’s headquarters or at its centres located at different governorates across the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

The National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday announced a string of additional measures, allowing Government entities and institutions to allow a maximum of 70% of employees to work from home for two weeks.

 

Humaidan directed all  officials to abide by the measures urging the public to have access to the ministry’s services via its official portal www.mlsd.gov.bh.

 

He pointed out the ministry’s readiness receive anyone who is unable or difficult to have access to services online whether in the labour or social fields
