King praises Saudi move to boost ties
MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad last night welcomed a decision by the Saudi cabinet to hold talks with Bahrain on raising the representation level of the Saudi-Bahraini Co-ordination Council to be presided over by the countries’ Crown Princes and sign the amended minutes of the council’s establishment.
The decision was made during the weekly session chaired remotely by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Prime Minister King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
His Majesty underlined historic relations binding the two countries based on mutual understanding and co-ordination established by ancestors, thanks to their unified stances relying on strong ties and a common destiny.
He said work today continues on the same path with the same cohesion to shape the future of generations to come.
Marking the occasion, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, reiterated keenness to achieve His Majesty’s vision to enhance relations through the co-ordination council.
He praised the efforts of Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to boost relations.
He expressed hope for more endeavours through the joint co-ordination council to foster integration and co-operation in all fields for the development and well-being of the two countries.
