King praises national achievements

His Majesty King Hamad has commended the pioneering projects accomplished by the government that serve the country’s development and meet citizens’ aspirations.

The King praised the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to serve Bahrain and enhance its international standing and reinforce its competitiveness.

His Majesty was speaking as he received HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister at Sakhir Palace yesterday.

Present were the King’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Royal Guard Special Force Commander, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

The meeting focused on local issues, highlighting mainly comprehensive development and ways to further reinforce national achievements.

The King noted progress made by Bahrain’s youth and sport successes as a result of efforts by Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid.

He praised the Bahrain Defence Force for achieving third place in the competition for the best international sniper team/3, which was held in Türkiye with the participation of 32 international teams.

He also commended the Interior Ministry for winning the first place in the World Championship for the Military Step Measuring Stick for the 10th time.

He praised Manama Club which won the West Asia Super League basketball championship and Al Najma Club which clinched the 25th Asian Clubs Handball Championship.
