Key partners in growth journey

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has expressed pride in the progress made by Bahraini women, through their creativity and innovation, and commended their remarkable efforts across public and private sectors.

Bahraini women are key partners in the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, he said, highlighting their executive positions and leadership roles within Team Bahrain.

He made the remarks yesterday as he visited the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) and met Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, His Majesty King Hamad’s wife and SCW president. The visit was held to mark the 22nd anniversary of the SCW.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised that the SCW’s anniversary is a testament to the accomplishments it has achieved in supporting Bahraini women through its strategies, programmes and initiatives, led by HRH Princess Sabeeka.

He highlighted the SCW’s efforts in realising the King’s far-reaching vision for Bahraini women’s empowerment.

He emphasised the government’s commitment to fully implement the King’s aspirations by supporting SCW’s wide-ranging women empowerment programmes.

HRH Prince Salman also outlined Team Bahrain’s efforts in advancing the kingdom’s comprehensive development goals, led by His Majesty.

HRH Princess Sabeeka expressed her appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s commitment to programmes that support the kingdom’s development, led by the King.

She also affirmed his commitment to advancing Bahraini women’s contributions to the national economy.

She highlighted the confidence he has in Bahraini women’s capabilities, including their pivotal role, alongside Bahraini men, in furthering the Kingdom’s modernisation and progress.

She commended the co-ordination between the SCW and the public sector, which aligns with HRH Prince Salman’s directives, and has helped sustain Bahraini women’s advancement across all workstreams.

HRH Princess Sabeeka welcomed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s visit to the SCW, adding that it is a testament to the public sector’s ongoing support for the council and its far-reaching goals.

She emphasised the council’s commitment to align its work with the government’s programmes to support Bahraini women and ensure that the kingdom maintains a good gender gap ranking globally.

Several senior officials were in attendance.
