JP Morgan honours NBB for exceptional performance

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has been awarded the ‘Elite Quality Recognition Award’ by JP Morgan for exceptional performance in individual US Dollar transfers for the calendar year 2022.

The award recognises the bank’s achievements in best-in-class ‘Straight-Through Processing (STP)’ rates with a 99.37 per cent STP rate based on JP Morgan’s internal data.

Sherif Abdel Salam, executive director and head of GCC and Türkiye financial institutions group at JP Morgan, presented the award to NBB Group head of coverage Ali Abdulkarim and NBB head of bank operations Nabeel Mustafa.

Mr Mustafa said: “We are pleased to be receiving this award from JP Morgan, a global leader in the banking industry and the bank’s longstanding correspondent. The achievement of 99.37pc STP rate was due to our continuous efforts in investing in technologies and enhancing processes and training plans. The award is a testament to our ongoing efforts to provide our customers with high-quality business performance and improve our service levels across our money transfer operations.”
