Bahrain ranks second in the share of population fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

The UAE tops the rankings with 72.1 pc of its population inoculated until yesterday. Bahrain stands second with 62.6pc inoculated, according to Our World in Data (OWID) website.

The GDN earlier reported Health Ministry Under-Secretary Dr Waleed Al Manea as saying that 89 per cent of the country´s eligible population has been vaccinated with two shots, accounting for 70pc of Bahrain estimated 1.5 million population.

According to World In Data, Israel ranks third having fully vaccinated 62.4pc of its population, while the UK ranks fourth with 58pc. Only 49.8pc of the US population have been double jabbed.
